I went there with a friend for the first time. I had driven past it many times and wanted to try it. We ordered the spinach and feta burek and geschnitzel. Both were really really good! The burek was my favorite! I would definitely go back and get that with a salad. The geschnitzel was also very good, the noodles were chewy and had a good flavor. The chicken was cooked well. The sauce was very buttery and rich. I would definitely go back and recommend this spot!

When you happen to be in Michigan, Al-Bo's is a great break from being in Michigan. It's like a quick side trip to Northern Central Europe. From the Austrian wienerschnitzel to the Bosnian cevapi, you know you're not near the Great Lakes. The cevapi was excellent, bringing back good memories of being in Mostar, and while I expected some coffee like what we call Turkish, or Greek, or Macedonian the proffered espresso-based drinks were pretty fabulous. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and served with a side of good humor. Execution and delivery of food is pretty darn quick. The restaurant itself is clean, tidy, and perhaps a little more bare bones than I expected. That doesn't take anything away from the joy of just chilling somewhere in Europe between my chores in Michigan.
